Terms of Service

Last updated: 28 August 2026. By using Velocost you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.

1. Parties and scope

These terms form the agreement between Cenk Alper Tantoğlu (Urastech) (address: Fatih Mahallesi No:74, Muratlı / Tekirdağ, Türkiye, email: info@urastech.com) and anyone using the Velocost website or Android app. Web and mobile are one product used with one account.

2. What the service is — and is not

Velocost is a trip cost planner: it estimates cost from route distance, fuel or electricity consumption and toll charges, and lets you record and compare vehicle expenses.

  • Velocost is NOT a navigation app. It gives no turn-by-turn directions and no traffic guidance.
  • Displayed costs are ESTIMATES. Fuel prices, toll tariffs, traffic, driving style and vehicle condition all change the real figure.
  • Fuel prices, toll fees, the vehicle consumption catalogue and charging point data come from third-party sources; their accuracy and freshness are not guaranteed.
  • Do not base decisions solely on these estimates. Road safety and compliance with traffic rules are entirely your responsibility.
  • Do not handle the app while driving and do not enter data while the vehicle is moving.

3. Your account

  • You must be 18 or older to create an account.
  • You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide.
  • You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity on your account. Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.
  • One person, one account. Sharing, selling or transferring an account is prohibited; business use goes through fleet account invitations.

4. Free usage, vehicle limit and credits

  • The free plan lets you save 1 vehicle; the Pro plan raises that limit to 3 vehicles.
  • Route calculation is free and costs no credits; you only need to be signed in.
  • AI features (natural-language queries and “Explain”) are available on the Pro plan only and cost credits (1 credit per query).
  • A Pro subscription grants 10 credits each calendar month. Credits DO NOT roll over: unused credits are cleared at the start of the new month and the counter is reset to 10.
  • Credits have no cash value, are non-refundable and cannot be transferred between accounts.
  • A free trial applies only to the extent one is configured in Google Play; its length and terms are shown by Google Play on the purchase screen.

5. Subscription, payment and cancellation

  • The Pro subscription lists at $10 per month or $100 per year; the current promotional price is shown on the purchase screen and in Google Play (currently $4/month or $40/year). The price you see in Google Play at the moment of purchase is the one that applies.
  • Purchases in the Android app go through Google Play Billing. Google takes the payment; your payment instrument details never reach us.
  • The subscription renews automatically every month or every year, depending on the plan you chose. Unless cancelled before the end of the period, your Google Play account is charged.
  • To cancel: Google Play → Profile → Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period; Pro access continues until then.
  • Refunds for Google Play purchases are governed by Google Play’s refund policy. If a technical fault prevented you from using the service, write to us and we will find a solution.
  • If we raise the price you will be told before the change takes effect and may cancel if you do not accept it.
  • Fleet (Enterprise) packages are covered by a separate agreement and are not sold through Google Play.

6. Your content and prohibited use

The vehicle, trip and expense records you enter belong to you. We process them only to provide the service; ownership does not pass to us.

The following are prohibited and lead to account closure:

  • Querying the service in bulk with automated tools (bots, scrapers) or trying to circumvent rate limits
  • Reverse-engineering the code or attempting to defeat security measures
  • Accessing another person’s account without permission, or entering another person’s data without their consent
  • Using the service for unlawful purposes or in ways that infringe third-party rights
  • Extracting data in bulk to build a competing product or dataset

7. Intellectual property

The Velocost brand, interface, code and the analysis text it produces belong to Cenk Alper Tantoğlu (Urastech). You receive a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use them for as long as you comply with these terms. Map, vehicle catalogue and price data remain subject to their own source licences, which are credited in the site footer.

8. Availability

The service is provided “as is”. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation; maintenance, third-party outages or force majeure may cause temporary interruptions. We aim to announce planned maintenance in advance.

9. Limitation of liability

We are not liable for indirect damages (lost profit, lost business, lost data) arising from decisions you make based on the app’s cost estimates. Our total liability for direct damages is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event. This limit does not apply where the law does not allow it to (intent, gross negligence, mandatory consumer protection rules).

10. Termination

  • You can delete your account at any time from the Profile screen; deletion is permanent.
  • We may suspend or close your account if you breach these terms. Except for serious breaches we warn you first.
  • On closure, unused credits end; Google Play’s refund policy governs the remainder of a paid subscription period.

11. Changes

When we update these terms the date on this page changes. Material changes are announced in the app and by email before taking effect; continuing to use the service afterwards means you accept the new terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. For consumers, the consumer arbitration committees and consumer courts of the consumer’s place of residence have jurisdiction; nothing here limits the rights consumers have under mandatory law.
