Statement of independence

Velocost is an independent application developed by Cenk Alper Tantoğlu (Urastech). It is not owned by, affiliated with, endorsed by or authorised by any government entity, and it does not represent any government entity. The names of the Turkish General Directorate of Highways (KGM), the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK) and other public bodies appear only to identify where data comes from.

The app performs no official transaction: it collects no fees, sells no vignettes or toll passes, pays no fines and files nothing with any authority. Amounts shown are informational and not binding; for the current and definitive figure, please consult the official source below.

Official government sources

Turkish motorway, bridge and tunnel tolls and the vehicle consumption catalogue come from official publications:

When a tariff changes we update the figure manually; the app marks which amounts are tied to the official tariff and which are estimates.
European Environment Agency (EEA) — Datahubhttps://www.eea.europa.eu/en/datahubMost of the vehicle consumption catalogue is built from the EEA CO2 monitoring and heavy-duty datasets (CC BY 4.0). You can always override it with your own measured consumption.

Fuel prices

Fuel prices do not come from a government body. They are collected from the province-level price pages that fuel distributors publish themselves. The date of the source is shown in the app, and you can override any price manually.

The Turkish fuel market is regulated by EPDK. We use no EPDK data and have no relationship with EPDK; its own publications are at https://www.epdk.gov.tr.

European country guide

Vignette requirements, toll payment methods and green card information are compiled by hand from the publications of each country’s road authority and vignette operator. The app shows when each country record was last verified. Where we have no verified data we produce no guess: the field stays empty and says "we have no data" — which does NOT mean "not required". Please confirm with the country’s official source before you travel.

Reporting incorrect data

If you believe we show a tariff, price or consumption figure incorrectly, write to info@urastech.com. Reports backed by an official source are corrected first.
